Rose/Doctor - Parting of the Ways Ficathon

Objective: Write a Rose/DrWho fic that takes place after the recent season finale The Parting of the Ways. Or after the regeneration scene, to be more specific.
It can be Rose/Nine or Rose/Ten, or even Rose/Four if you can somehow managed to warp time and space enough-- the Rose/Doctor bit is what matters.
Rose/Doctor friendship fics are acceptable too, since a lot of R/Dr fics can be read as bordering one or the other.
Both Rose and the Doctor are not necessarily required to be there, as long as it's about them as a pair.


Timeline:

Sign-up: July 4th - July 18th (starts now!)

Assignments out: July 25th or sooner

Stories due: August 28th



1) Please fill out the information below, and submit it in a comment. If you don't have LJ you can leave a comment anonymously, with a link to your other blog/webspace.

2) Fics should be a minimum 1,000ish words, there is no maximum.

3) All links to the fics will be posted in my LJ at the end, in a post I'll continually update.

4) Please pimp this on your LJ and to others if you can. We want to get lots of people involved.

You're hired! We'll just have to wait till the applications all come in, then you can help with the assigning, because that whole process is leaving me a bit intimidated. But we can work it out. :) I think I'm going to post a reminder next week in the dr who communities to catch anyone who doesn't see it the first time.

I just realized I had claimed I'd make assignments by today, when I hadn't even started them at all. I'd completely forgotten since I got a second job this week. ::headdesk::

Anyway, I think it's time we get started-- there's at least thirty people who signed up. That's pretty good, right?

So... do you have any idea for how to start matching requests to names? Is there a useful method? Or should we just start randomly assigning them and making sure the "refuse to write" requirements don't clash?

right. I don't have a system as such, but thirty people is brilliant. So....

If you send me half of the entry form thingy's, i'll print them, lie them in a pile on my floor, and play match up as best as is possible. You can do the same with yours. (tell me if i'm overstepping a mark), then i'll email out mine and you can email yours, but we'll syncronise so everyone gets them at a similar time. sound like a plan?

Maybe we should do this quickly, aren't we already late?

Okay then, mine are sorted, and there are some things i need to know! What is the date they need to inform you before if they drop out, and when will the masterlist be posted? oh and when do the entries need to be in by?

I haven't gotten all of mine sorted yet. How about you start emailing them out tomorrow? I should be finished by then too.


I have already marked the story due date as August 28th (a Sunday), so I guess I can start to post the master list of links by September 4th, giving people a week's grace period. After that I'll just add to the master list as people send me links.

When you email it out, tell them to send me a link of their story, with appropriate information on who they wrote it for. Also, send me your sorted list so I'll combine it with mine and have a master assignment list.

Hm.... I'm thinking I should post the master assignment list as well as send the emails out. That way if someone doesn't check their email for a while, they might catch it on LJ. Then after the due date I can make a master list of links.

I have no idea for the drop-out date. What do you suggest?
