What music do you listen to when you're drinking?


I'm thinking of making a "drinking music" mix.

So far, all I've got is:

Harry Nilson - Put The Lime In The Coconut [this song is... trippy. Ever watch Practical Magic? It's that song, only even weirder in full version. I love it.]

Chumbawamba - Tubthumping [it's classic!]

Flogging Molly - Irish Drinking Song [cause you can't have a drinking music CD without something Irish!]

Jimmy Buffett - Margaritaville [it's even more classic than the other classic one!]


...I should probably find a version of "Red Red Wine" too. Maybe the cover that was sung by this white guy that sounded like he was black.

Anyway, WHO'S GOT DRINKING SONGS ?

Preferably something you can listen to while drinking, fast or slow is no matter.

Ya know ... it's kinda crummy that Chumbawamba only had "Tubthumping" hit big in the US. The rest of that record has good, mostly BETTER, tracks on it. Especially "Mary, Mary".

I'll upload the two mixes of "Mary, Mary" I have. It's about a girl's fall from grace. Fittingly used in the opening sequence of the movie Stigmata.

I have another song that I thought you'd might like to share. I heard it in Monster-In-Law. "L-l-love" by Astaire. I'll put that up with Chumbawamba.
