Uploaded, 4ish minutes long: new Doctor Who teaser [YSI]
I had to update my Realplayer codecs to play it, but...
The doctor... is insane.
Cool.
And still so in love with her.
"Can you change back?"
"Do you want me to?"
"Yeah."
"Oh."
"Can you?"
"No. ...Do you want to leave?"
"Do you want me to leave?"
"No!"
I loved the way the actors delivered the lines here. Very quick, nervously. Rose almost squeaked out the answer "yeah." I also like that they're having this conversation/question now rather than later. Later... which would of course be later with macking and shagging.
"Then how could I remember this? Very first word I ever said to you...trapped in that cellar surrounded by shop window dummies. Ooh, such a long time ago. I took your hand. I said one word, just one word I said 'Run.' "
OMG SHIP SHIP KISS HER KISS HER KISS HER SHIP SHIP LOVE.
...
... ... ... But didn't he say "Run for your life!" ? Isn't that four words?
Oh well. ::shrug:: He is going insane, after all.
I love Rose's demand to bring the Doctor back. Ever brave in the face of mysterious circumstances, she is.
"Let’s go and find Captain Jack, he’d know what to do."
"Gaahhh – he’s busy – got plenty to do rebuilding the earth."
That's interesting, but, now that I think about it, it does sort of make sense. If he had the time vortex in him, of course he'd know that Jack was alive. He'd know everything, especially considering Rose had used that same power to so recently revive Jack.
That begs the question... why leave Jack behind? Obviously the Ninth incarnation decided to leave Jack behind, not the Tenth, so you can't blame it on personality change. That leaves two options:
a) being that he possessed the time vortex and knew all, maybe he could see Jack's future and understood that Jack needed to be left behind
b) he willfully decided to take Rose and go, trusting Jack to take care of himself but otherwise, basically, ditching him. Hah! He ditched Jack to have Rose all to himself, no doubt. Jack would be sort of proud.
Interesting. Very interesting.
So far Tennant is great. Is it weird that his voice actually SOUNDS like Eccleston's Doctor voice to me? Or maybe it's just that I haven't rewatched any episodes in over a month...
This teaser has successfully confirmed one thing at least: Tenth!Doctor staring intensely into Rose's eyes is just as sexy as Ninth!Doctor staring into her eyes, and really, that's all I needed to know.
