Had lots of fun reading many posts on "If LotR Had Been Written By Someone Else!?", linked from dragolyn. It's so funny, and I only read the first page.

I liked "Jonathon Livingston Smeagol" which is one the same page (13) as my entry. Also on that page is the Joss Whedon entry, thought its not that funny.

Some of my favorite authors have already been done, so I did Naoko Taeuchi (creator of manga/anime Sailor Moon) for humor.

So here's my entry:

This is so great. I love them all, especially Douglas Adams Mark Twain, Ayn Rand, Harry Potter, and most definitely the Terry Pratchett one. Too funny!

Cause the DBZ one amused me... (though idea of an over-muscled Gandalf makes me shudder)

:snicker: Isn't it terrible? I had a blast writing it but now the dman thing won't leave me alone. I keep getting this urge to make up Tolkein-ized versions of the sailor's power attacks. And assign costume colors, and write parody fic...

And then I smack myself and say "Sara, you've moved on from Sailor Moon. You're in a better place now. Don't let yourself fall back into that next of evil and ruin all the progress you've made since you discovered that fanfic and the internet went beyond the moonie fandom."

If you want good moonie fic, the only name I can think of at the moment (as I haven't read much in a while) is Sailorcelestial at ff.net. I correspond with her via email a lot, and she's an awesome writer. And I lurve her stuff dearly because she's got some slack-jaw amazingly kick-ass SM crossovers in a fandom where crossovers are usually abhorrently bad.
