[Poll #658857]

Cause sometimes, I swear I'm the only one who noticed this. And it's been driving me nuts since I first heard the Jet song like 2 years ago. Hacks. And I don't even really like Iggy Pop or anything.

What about the Killer's Mr. Brightside? Doesn't it sound like Bowie's Queen Bitch?

Heyyyy, I never noticed that (maybe b/c I didn't know Queen Bitch that well until recently) but you're kind of right. O_o

They used to talk about this on the radio a lot when the song first came out. It is a little similar (but dude, Lust for Life has way cooler drums), but I wouldn't quite accuse Jet of Vanilla Ice-dom XD.

I never heard any discussion about it, which I considered weird when compared how often I heard about the two Nickelback songs blended together played and discussed on the radio.

Definitely not the only one. It drives me nuts. Not only that, but ALL their songs sound like other songs. One sounds like the Beatles and two sound like AC/DC. :P

Glad I've only heard the one, then.

I noticed that right away too. I'm surprised they haven't been ordered to pay royalties to Iggy Pop...

He'd probably have a case. Remember how the Stones absolutely murdered The Verve in court because they had a small riff from one of the Stones' songs?

I never heard about that court case. Which Verve song?

Ah! I do remember something about them not making any money off the song, but I thought it was about a bad record contract or something. Huh.

That's my walking song.

Heh. You put "yes" in the poll instead of "no". I guess I made the question confusing..

Someone asked this question a year or so ago, and I'd never heard the song until then. But, yes, it very much does.
