The end fight? Neat. All that jumping around and flashing in and out of corporeality. Too bad we didn't get to see Solomon after he went all badass Supersaiyan Chavalier on the cloaked guys, but I'm imagining it was cooler than Karl's badass Chiropteran mode.

I'm positively intrigued by the layers of complexity that are just starting to be revealed about Saya, Diva, and the Chevaliers. Like, how come the ones meant for Saya follow Diva, and the one meant for Diva obeys Saya?

That moment at the end of the episode where Hagi strokes Saya's hair while she sleeps... did he swear to follow Saya out of love? How come the other Chevaliers, who have supposedly been around for so many years, even centuries, have never met Hagi? We know Hagi's been around at least 80 years, probably much more. If Saya's fought Diva or the Chevaliers before, why don't they know Hagi already? I mean, the super vampire club can't be that big, can it?

These Schiff dudes are pretty interesting for an x factor. Of all the characters introduced so far they most resemble traditional vampires. But they seem happy to kill humans and Chevalier alike.

I still find Hagi to be a very bland character, but not necessarily in a bad way. Just in a way that prevents me from fangirling him. I can't fangirl a character that we know almost nothing about; I need more to work with than that. Nevertheless, the little bits and pieces we DO learn (and they are so little and bitty and sparce) are quite intriguing. In fact, it's almost like we're getting Hagi's characterization through that of the other Chevaliers. The more we learn about them, the more we indirectly learn about Hagi. For one thing, it appears his aloof stiffness is just a him thing, not a Chevalier thing: that distant formality isn't his role, it's his personality. And according to the flashback from episode 17 it wasn't always his peronality-- in the past he was somewhat more open and social. Saya (or Diva?) must've fucked him up pretty bad.

I'd thought from the apparent depth of Hagi's loyalty (spannind decades, possibly centuries?) that there was some kind of real mystical/genetic bond between him and Saya. That protecting her was a compulsion. But if the other Chevaliers are meant for Saya and they decided to kill her for the benefit of Diva whom they choose to serve, then the bond can't be that strong.
