Point. I've been hanging out in fandom too long - the line between Mary-Sue and perfect self-insertion is becoming blurred. I just remember the HP fics where one perfect mary-sue would turn up, usually with a cat-girl or something based off the author's RL best friend in tow.

I think I've blocked most of my memories of such fics out. Some things... are not meant to be shared with the internet.

If I made you the fourth Sand sibling, I'd make you the gender-confused fourth sand sibling. You were once a gay boy, until the special curse jutsu turned you into a girl, and now because you're a girl (who used to be a boy!) your gay feelings are now het feelings. And you're in love with Neji. And your blood is poison to all people who carry demons (which is why Gaara didn't squash you like a bug growing up, because you could poison him and release the demon.) And now the Akatsuki are after you to use your blood to capture Naruto-san and Gaara-nii-san. Meanwhile Sakura is helping you cope with being a girl, and you're slowly but surely making Neji realize his inner tree-hugger.

Also you're sarcastic as hell and you beat up Sasuke. Twice.


EDIT: and the gender-changing curse was paid for by the Uchiha clan so that your family's bloodline could be united with the Uchiha bloodline in a secret plot to let the Uchihas seize control of Konoha with Sand's backing, led by a powerful new family combining the best of both traits. Sasuke was meant to be your fiance. And though you hate him and are in love with Neji, you'd still try to kill Itachi if you met him because you're noble enough of spirit to want to kick Itachi's ass for what he did to lil Sasuke's family.

Oh, check it out: I made manips! For a contest. It was hard and I am super-nitpicky about color matching, so I only ended up enterting two instead of three, and one of the two I made months ago for the cover of my Z/K fst.

Did I ever upload my Z/K fst for you? I made big pretentious tracklist post and everything, equipped with lyrics and running commentary. ::FST/music whore::
