Date: 2006-05-01 05:00 am (UTC)I've considered doing something like this before-- I have parody in my soul and a nihilistic sense of competitiveness that screams for me to have fun with stuff like this. The rest of it is me not wanting to read my textbook and general avoidance.

Date: 2006-05-01 05:27 am (UTC)SERIOUSLY.
There's only probably three fics I'll ever finish. And it could take years.

Date: 2006-05-01 05:33 am (UTC)You know... that is just not fair... You -guilt tripped- me into extending Rebuilding past 3 chapters. Not only that... you also added to the pressure of me having to come up with chapter nine.
... You should really do the same for me for my original stories...
Okay, Rashaka, make a speech about how writing fic for a Nick show is a big waste of time and that I should put all my (limited) time and energy into original work instead.

Date: 2006-05-01 05:47 am (UTC)That's not a speech, that's silence.
And what you mean you didn't guilt-trip? Yes, you DID.
(sighs) Fine... since Rashaka obviously will be part of the problem, not the solution... I'll go by another route... I'll burn myself out writing AtLB fanfics. Sooner or later, I will get sick of it all and then - I'll go back to writing original stuff.

Date: 2006-05-01 07:29 am (UTC)Anyway, if I did guilt trip you, it was in the pursuit of fanfic! I would never tell someone to stop writing fanfic in order to write fiction. Fanfiction is my sandbox, not original fiction.
Besides, I save my speeches for scaring/shaming little stereotype-spouting fanpoodles into becoming feminists. It's a hobby.

Date: 2006-05-01 08:09 am (UTC)When you put it that way, I kind of like it. Plus, I can never really make myself spell as badly as I've seen other people do. I just can't forget about grammar enough to pull it off.
People will look at your other work and go, "This is a joke fic" rather quickly.
That's what I was thinking, especially with Avatar fandom, which is where I've played the last 6 months.

Date: 2006-05-01 08:35 am (UTC)That plot device is probably my most hatest of all. Makes me want to tear my hair out.
Then again... if you're after sheer annoyance... yah... that plot device will most likely get me incredibly peeved with the author, unless he or she is someone like Mark Twain.

Date: 2006-05-01 08:43 am (UTC)I think I've blocked most of my memories of such fics out. Some things... are not meant to be shared with the internet.

Date: 2006-05-01 08:51 am (UTC)You could write half of your LJ list into the story as your friends!
I know ... Naruto fic! Let's all be ninjas!! And, ooo, I want to beat the crap out of Sasuke! Puh-leeeeeeeze? And I'm totally the fourth Sand Sibling you never knew existed until I just now made her up.
you will probably hate me for what you're about to read.
Date: 2006-05-01 09:13 am (UTC)Also you're sarcastic as hell and you beat up Sasuke. Twice.
EDIT: and the gender-changing curse was paid for by the Uchiha clan so that your family's bloodline could be united with the Uchiha bloodline in a secret plot to let the Uchihas seize control of Konoha with Sand's backing, led by a powerful new family combining the best of both traits. Sasuke was meant to be your fiance. And though you hate him and are in love with Neji, you'd still try to kill Itachi if you met him because you're noble enough of spirit to want to kick Itachi's ass for what he did to lil Sasuke's family.
Re: you will probably hate me for what you're about to read.
Date: 2006-05-01 09:18 am (UTC)I have this feeling that a fic with this storyline is actually ... out there.
Also you're sarcastic as hell and you beat up Sasuke. Twice.
Awesome. I did that last week. For real.
