If you're gonna do it - go for the gold. And do a fake name, so that way they won't avoid it for being an "obvious" Sue. People will look at your other work and go, "This is a joke fic" rather quickly.

If you feel like owning up later, that's when you pop up and laugh your ass off.

When you put it that way, I kind of like it. Plus, I can never really make myself spell as badly as I've seen other people do. I just can't forget about grammar enough to pull it off.

That's what I was thinking, especially with Avatar fandom, which is where I've played the last 6 months.

* or did I misunderstand what you meant by "go for the gold"? You mean the most stupid or the not stupid?

I say go for the most stupid storyline. I've seen people who spell and have decent grammar produce some of the most godforsaken Sue fics. Very few times, I've seen great writers produce them ... and I would cry, "Use your power for GOOD, not EVIL!". Honestly, I find the people with a more than average grasp on grammar and spelling writing Sue fic worse than the 12 year olds who simply do not know better.

Hmm... just want to add one thing... please don't use the 'it was only a dream' plot device for the ending.

That plot device is probably my most hatest of all. Makes me want to tear my hair out.

Then again... if you're after sheer annoyance... yah... that plot device will most likely get me incredibly peeved with the author, unless he or she is someone like Mark Twain.
