Is that Yondaime? The 4th Hokage? Shit, that looks like the 4th. I haven't watched the Naruto anime in a while (not since about 160-ish), or any movies past the first... are they animating the 4th Hokage now? In what episode? Where can I watch it?

Oh my god... THEY HAVEN'T STARTED THE KAKASHI GAIDEN, HAVE THEY?

I mgiht brave the major naruto LJ comm to find out what episode that icon is from, just because I'd be curious to hear who they choos as a voice actor for the 4th, if that's really him being played before the Gaiden. A flashback, maybe?

I've been on a break from Naruto with the fillers airing and my being kind of behind in the manga. But it's a show where I can jump back any time, just as soon as it's read again, you know? I can wait. :)

I haven't kept up on Naruto, period. Haven't read the manga in ... ages? I just remember Sasuke was back. Didn't much care. But I'm like you. It's no big, I can wait. I have a ton of other distractions at the moment.

The manga is actually much better now that they are all 15 and upwards. I know I'm enjoying a lot more. They've had a bit Sakura/Naruto shippiness (on both sides- yay!) And Kishimoto, said now that they are that age he's going to make the romances more obvious.

I should probably read the latest few chapters. I admit I don't care much for Sai, and we were in the middle of his plot when I last read it.

Heh, I'm quite amused at how most ardent slashers on Chunnin hate Sai. Sai acts more realistically like a young gay guy than most manga gay males I've seen. And Yamato acts like more like a realistic gay adult male, and he's not really slashed either. The slashers most the time pick male characters that are obviously het and ignore the ones that are gay or highly likely gay. Or if the pick one obviously gay character they ridiculously pair them with some obviously het character.

Just caught up to 320. I don't really see how Yamato acts like a gay man... he seemed to be pretty asexual in the scenes, which makes sense given that all his scenes were fighting or training. Is there a particular moment that makes you think he's gay?


Sai, though, I would see as gay. Much the same as Haku (who, if not gay, was at least a transvestite).

The one scene that made me think Yamato sounds like he could be gay was the hot springs bathhouse scene. He's going on about how wonderful it is to be relaxing with comrades like this and Naruto is sitting in between Sai and Yamato looking extremely uncomfortable hunched over and hiding his penis with hands and legs (and this before Sai even starts in on the penis comments again...)

Watching the icon again, it looks more like something from a movie. It doesn't have the same animation style as a regular episode would, seems more movie-ish to me.

THanks. I was anticipating it being from a movie or one of the opening credit sequences, given the style of the animation. Game makes sense too.
