I've decided that as of today I am hiding from all avatar comms. I've been saying I would for a week, but now I'm really gonna. I'm going into crouching wombat, hidden mouse mode. I will hide and no one will spoil me and I can resist fandom for a week and a half YES I CAN.

Except I might visit occasionally to [livejournal.com profile] capslock_atla, BECAUSE THEY MOSTLY DISCUSS NONSENSE ANYWAY, AND I LOVE THAT STUFF.

So this is me! Hiding!

And every time I want to break and browse LJ for avatar stuff, I will instead think about fanfic and force myself to write. Or I might play free cell. Good plan.

Si? Si.

I can never win free cell. There's something about the moving eyes of the king that's just so dang distracting.

Anyway, it's been that bad? ... OH YEAH! Ship wars.

I've been avoiding the avatar fandom by default, minus its fanfic - but I haven't touched FFnet's AtLA section in quite a while. And there are spoilers going around now? The last episode just came out! Or has the marvelous AtLA fandom found a way to gorge itself on spoilers and miscellaneous gunpowder again?

In any case, yes, writing would be a good idea. And SO WOULD BE WRITING VIGNETTES, BUT NO, THIS IS NOT PRESSURE NOR SHAMELESS PESTERING, NOT AT ALL, WHY WOULD YOU SAY SO.

no it's not bad. It's not anything bad at all, and certainly has nothing to do with "wars" (which I've yet to see actually happen-- wars in Avatar fandom are all smoke and no fire; i think this fandom would die of fright if something really wanky and flame-tastic happened) -- I just fear general human error which leads people to post spoilery stuff wihtout realizing what they're doing to my poor nerves.

In my experience, even the nicest fandoms are places to fear in the last week before a big episode. And my being a mod, I end up deleting spoiler posts instead of trusting others to protect me.

*poke* WRITE! No free cell. :P

Eh, but I know what you mean. It's amazing how time just disappears when we're online.

*hugs*

But unlike Solitare, free cell I can win!

...yeah, it fades into the great big ether and it's time never seen again...

thankfully tomorrow I'll be going to Northern California for 4 days so I won't be tempted.

I feel so special, I was the last official fanfic you read...*does a tiny dance*

anyway, avoid fandom LYKE THE PLAGUE LYKE OMG IT'S NUTZORZ AND FILLED WITH PEOPLE LYKE THIS LYKE OMG IT SUX SO BAD.

...clearly, I should not be typing late at night.

anyway, I just wanted to tell you that Lucid appears to be coming along fabulously, and I really like your totally smexy and dirty-mouthed-in-more-ways-than-one portrayal of Kakashi. The scene in the bar where he blurted out "Sorry" was just fantastic. *looks forward to more*

Think of it as my last fix before going cold turkey for a week. But dude, the night of the finale I'm going to be online till frigging 2am, probably.

:G: I find that that behavior lessons if you just ignore the people who type that way. And if people try typing netpeak at my journal (only happened like three times) I just tell them "If you want to speak to me, type complete sentences. Or go away now."

But I'll be back in a week. Avatar IS my fandom this year, after all. I've been more loyal to it than to Veronica Mars or House, especially now that season two of Doctor Who ended.

Thanks. :D I'm going for dirty-minded. The inspiration for the "dirty mouthed in more ways than one" was kinda spontaneous, and I blushed a lot typing it. But I'm finding I blush a lot less writing Kakashi than trying to write Zuko/Katara smut scenes. I think it's the age thing.

I'm glad the apology thing worked well. I've got this idea for this fic that Kakashi's mind just drifts in an out of attention. So that he's not exactly on the same wavelength as everyone else, and might just carrry on a separate conversation in his head than what's being dicussed in front of him. That combined with the dreams and the comparison of his fantasies to his reality. Which I should be getting into more detail of in later chapters.
