I might just dump a zip file on you for the kakasaku songs....
For Spike/Buffy... there's so many! I made a fanmix a long time ago... I tried to remember them but I don't have the list nearby. Most of the ones I remembered would be more from Spike's POV and I usually like to balance that stuff out...anyway, here's a few, loosely in order of relevance.
Tea Party - The Messenger Tea Party - Cathartik Placebo - Pure Morning Placebo - Every You Every Me Evanescence - Bring Me To Life Nick Cave - Loverman U2 - With or Without You Genesis - That's All
For one reason or another, these are all some of my favorite songs for Spuffy. Each of them has lyrics that I felt could be applied directly to the two characters, somehow.
"The Messenger" I put on top because it's probably my ultimate Spike-to-Buffy song. "Cathartik" is also very much, but again from Spike's POV. "Pure Morning" is so ridiculously perfect for them, more of a fun song than the others on the list. And "Every You Every Me" was so bitter and acidic that I've actually seen like 2 or 3 Spuffy videos for it.
Evanescence is part of this because the VERY FIRST TIME that I heard "Bring Me To Life" was on a very well-edited Spike/Buffy video. I fell in love with it, and I know it was used to death in a billion fandoms, but for me it will always be about season 6 Buffy. Like...every single freaking lyric works, from references to death and blood and resurrection and souls and breath, and the desire to "make me real" which is something Buffy obsessed over after her arrival. Anyway, after I saw it on the fanvid, less than two weeks later I heard it on the radio...then saw it on mtv...
I liked "That's All" by Genesis because it's a fun song about people with a contentious relationship. I included "Loverman" because it's so disturbing and creepy for a sex song, and Spike does, after all, have a demon.
"With or Without You" is up for obvious reasons. A. Love it, B. It works.
