I once was lost, but now I'm found...
Apr. 1st, 2003 10:28 amSome times, something just happens, and you wake up in the morning and you just know, you know?
You realize, "This is right, this is true. This is how it was meant to be."
And you think, my god, how could I have ever before enjoyed the show as a fan, without the true understanding of the magnificence and awe-inspiring romantic beauty of Buffy and Xander's love?
And Gods, to think I was actually a Spuffy fan. So fucking embarrassing. To be grouped with that pack of screaming, pimple-faced, rapist-loving, prepubescent fangirls... Thank god I'm over that. The atrocities commited against fanfiction in the named of that disgusting bullshit falsification of a ship are too horrible to remember...
But as an apology for my gross abuse of fandom as a B/S shipper these last two seasons, I offer these icons in recompense:

I once was blind, but now I see...

You must realize that Xander is the personal incarnation that Joss wrote of himself into the story. And plus, Buffy's first love, Pike, was the original version of Xander.
Look at how their friendship has developed over these seven years... remember that heartfelt conversation in Seeing Red? And remember how devastated Xander was to see his love get shot down before his eyes?
Have you noticed how lovingly domestic they've seem this season? Look at episode Lessons. Xander's become 'the man' of the Summers household... there's no other possible outcome. I swear it.
