Supreme Being for Athiests: Hey Rashaka, what are you doing in the Media Lab, girl? I thought I divinely arranged for your house to have DSL. For the Spuffy vids and stuff.

Rashaka: Gone, GONNNNNNE! All gone. Whoosh---bye bye! Gone, gone....even dial-up! Lost, all lost...

SBfA: You know what this means, right? Get a job. And cheer up, it's Buffy night.

Rashaka: I can't cheer up. I have Women Studies this afternoon, with the freakishly cheerful teacher. I'm all full of unwanted cheer!

SBfA: Yeah, well, I don't exist. I can't have cheer at all.

Rashaka: Can whine about it though.

SBfA: Everyone can do that. Hey, good thoughts-- your bedroom is pretty! Wood floor now.

Rashaka: It makes loud noises when I drop things, and my feet get cold.

SBfA: Shut up and go to Linguistics.

Those SBfAs are always smug bitches. "Cheer up, it could be worse!" Want me to send over Jesus to kick hir ass?

I have to warn you, my deity-that-isn't fights dirty. She's fond of math and statistics in her defense.

But I'll take your cookies and temper, gladly. And I have been promised an area rug. Probably a cheap one, but anything's better than just hard floor.

That's okay. My Savior does kung-fu. Also turns water into wine and rises from the dead, but, y'know, mostly, KUNG-FU.

(Now that's just not something you hear every day.)

*deposits temper and cookies and takes one of the latter for herself*

I found a preeeeettyyyy blue area rug at ALCO mart that I wish I'd gotten; it was only $20! Decorating is hard. I bow to interior designers.

I have a blues period thing happening in room right now. The best possible rug would be some shade of blue, and if not that then white or pale butter yellow (to mathc my blue & yellow comforter.)

Aargh! Go blue! Choose blue! Pale carpet colors show dirt-tracks like aaaanything, which is fine if you're one who vacuums once every few days but isn't so fabulous when you're me and cleaning is a punishment, not a chore. But that's me for ya...

Cleaning for me is not a punishment, it's cathartis for my anger. But like I said-- rarely angry. If not, cleaning is a nuisance. So, dark carpet is the most likely outcome.
