My anime "to-watch" list:

Scryed

Wolf's Rain

.Hack/Sign (the rest after ep 8)
X (tv version, because movie was awful)
Kero Kano / His & Her Circumstances
RahXephon
One Piece
Samurai X
Ayashi no Ceres (the rest after ep 6)

This is in a vague sort of order, but not definite. Anyone have any opinions on these? I know Wolf's Rain is going to start airing on Cartoon Network with the new Inu Yasha episodes in April, so I won't have to download or buy that one at least. I'm also trying to branch out my tastes and watch some more comedic or light-hearted ones instead of always the heavy drama/action/adventure series.

So I'm watching downloaded clips of the So Grahan Norton talk show, and Elijah Wood is being interviewed and he starts talking about LOTR fanfic and especially slash fan-art sites and how bizarre that is from his side because the art looks like the actors.

For myself, I can't stop giggling.

And here is where I GIP to show off my new icon.

Well, that's a total outright bald-faced lie. It's [livejournal.com profile] mrmonkeybottoms's new icon. Or it would be if I were bald-faced. But I'm not. Not bald. But then again I don't have hair on my face so maybe I am? Ew, what a thought. At least that means all other women are bald-faced too. A world of bald-faced women! Except for the ones with eyebrows. Which I have. So therefore I'm not! Which means it's mine!

Okay, it's really not I was just trying to confuse you there. Damn you smart people. Chekc out her other funky ones.

By the way, [livejournal.com profile] mrmonkeybottoms has never seen Donnie Darko. ::gasp:: Slay-her! Slay-her!

If she had seen it, she'd laugh at one of my favorite borrowed [livejournal.com profile] saava icons:
.

note: I really think that's [livejournal.com profile] saava's icon. I've had it for a while. It would be embarrassing if it was actually [livejournal.com profile] spicedrum's or something. ::hopes::

DD is a great movie. With lots of 80s music. And weird time travel and jet engines and literally a very scary rabbit. And a bit of romance and philosophy and lots of black humor and jokes about Smurf sex. Everyone should watch that film.

note2: no, my LJ-speaking-tone did NOT just completely change for the purpose of this journal entry. You're imagining things. Go home and take some drugs & chocolate.

I would like to say that I'm terrible at wishing people on LJ happy birthdays.

I apologize for this. I know a lot of you have birthdays (actually probably all of you), and if I was a better person who wasn't quite so unbearably lazy, I would pay attention to this sort of thing and wish you well on your day. Especially since some of you have wished me happy birthdays and that always gives me happy feelings. So I have a certain amount of guilt over the issue. Birthday guilt. That's not the same thing as cake guilt, and much less fun.

Is it cheesy and cheap to say that I genuinely wish you well on all your days, and I think all people should be happy on their birthdays? Because I do. I know it sounds over-generalized and impersonal and lazy-lame, but I would like to just say happy birthday everyone, and let you know that I do wish you happiness in future birthdays and hope your past birthdays were fun, even if I never say so on LJ or even know what particular day it occured, but I'm sure it has occured at least once in the last year and I'm sure it will occur at least once again this year and next, and I do wish you well for that. And other days too.

I hope everyone gets cake at least once a year, and has someone to spend their birthday with, and has happy naked Spike thoughts on those days too. Or if you're [livejournal.com profile] mrthursday or [livejournal.com profile] spikespeigel, naked Buffy thoughts. Or naked Spike thoughts, if it turns out you like those too. That's perfectly fine.

So, happy birthday today and every day. And I wish I was better at doing this properly and personally.
