So I spent a while tonight making copies of Fruits Basket to send to [livejournal.com profile] leslina, the jewel and angel who's promised to help me see Full Metal Alchemist since the internest is conspiring against me with that series.

[livejournal.com profile] leslina is skeptical about Fruits Basket being too shoujo for her action girl tastes, but I will change her mind. Furuba is irresistable, and I say this as an action girl anime fan. This show takes over and makes you love it.

In making the CDs, for example, I've had to test them out so I've been watching snatches of the episodes again all night. And... I'm still so friggin in love with this show!

I love my FB mood icon set from [livejournal.com profile] psychodragon82. I love my Kyo icon from someone else. I love this show and I love these characters and I just love. love. love. I can't wait for more manga!

Especially the last 3 episodes. There's no pointing in watching this show if you can't see the end. It just... wow. WOW. The end takes everything good and makes it into everything fantastic.

I'm watching the second episode of Gatekeepers. ::yawn:: Bored now.

::reads a review::

Ah.. I think the show I was looking for was Gate Keepers 21, the sequel series. That's the one I saw a vid for. No wonder this feels disappointing.

I'm going to cut my hair on Friday.

I'm terrified.

I've had varrying lengths of long hair all my life.

When in shame or doubt or shyness, my hair was my curtain.

When confident, my hair was great for swishing as I walked.

On good days, my hair was my vanity.

Scratch that, on most days if I had to pick one thing to be vain about, my hair would be it. It's soft and curly and at the moment it goes 3/4 of the way down my back. It's the physical feature I've gotten the most comments on from both sexes, and I've got more than a little emotional investment in it.

I've never cut it shorter than my chin, only ever did that twice, and the last time I did that was 6 years ago as a high school freshman.

Right now, if I straighten it, it goes to my butt.

But this last Friday the hair headaches got to be too much, too distracting, and in a panic my mome and I made a call to my mom's hairdresser (nice woman) and made an appointment, at which I've convinced myself that I will walk in and tell the woman:

"Cut it as short as possible without making me ugly."

I swear, if she can cut it to half and inch and make it cute, I'll take that. I've been thinking about doing this for over a year.

But...

From 2 feet to 1/2 an inch?

I'm kinda terrified.

I put up a new icon. Now you all can know what I look like. And then hide your eyes.

Le Sigh...I was bored and I love the color green.

Why is it that I can't get any cool lighting like movie stars? It's so hard to edit real life pictures where everything is the same shade and there are no stark contrasts or anything snazzy that movie-people and photographers do.

Interestingly, what this icon doesn't show (what none of the pics showed when I shrunk them), is that I have hella freckles. I'm freckle girl. But they got blended right out when I shrunk it then lightened it. So just imagine this icon here, but with light brown reddish hair instead of green, and with lots and LOTS of freckles.
