GIP #2!

timepiececlock: (Hughes forgot Poland!)
I now have the best Hughes icon ever (well, after the "hope" one [livejournal.com profile] psychodragon82 made me that makes me wibble) and I have to show it off, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] treesock's icon-making powers.
timepiececlock: (Hughes - Hope)
I named my C:\ drive "Hughes". I named my D:\ drive "Heart of Gold". My entire computer is named "Deep Thought".

If I'm not a fangirl of one thing, I'm a fangirl of another.
timepiececlock: (Kyo on the roof)
I was watching this rather well done Fruits Basket video with an absolutely gorgeous song when the phone rang.

Drat, it's the father-person! Why is ShakaDadda calling at this obscene moment and interrupting the Kyoru goodness? Where's his sense of romance?!
timepiececlock: (Dump Bush 2004)
I was just now watching this female blonde anchor on MSNBC News interview the top guy who was fired from the Sinclair Brodcasting company for protesting the airing of that smear documentary as a "news" broadcast.

Whoever this woman is (the MSNBC anchor), her questions had me sitting there with my jaw on the floor. What the FUCK? What kinds of questions are these? It's like watching Fox News interview someone.

Ok, there goes any last dwindling respect I had for MSNBC. Gee, the number of national news channels on cable that I can actually stand to watch even a little keeps on dwindling and dwindling.

Okay, Al, you're perfect. I love you. They even got that faint echo-y tonality thing.

Rose, you're adequate. You'll be fine, and besides you don't really matter anyway.

Ed... this is going to take some getting used to. You sound like Ranma Soatome. Stop it. Sound like Ed! SOUND LIKE ED!
timepiececlock: (For The Birds - WTF?)
I was, our of bordeom, touring episode guides for Startrek: Enterprise, a show I watched half-heartedly last season and did actually watch the finale for-- not because I particularly like it, but because it's SciFi and I'm easy like that.

Turns out I missed the first 3 eps of the new season. And now T'Pol is married? Or gonna be married? Or something? Damn. Well, she bugs me a lot so this is yet one more disappointment.

Sadly I also realized something that may make it impossible for me to enjoy Enterprise ever again (which was always a bit of a struggle for me anyway-- the enjoying part): the fact Trip/Tucker/whateverhisnameis looks freakishly like a young George W. Bush. The same head shape and everything.

Um, okay, no no no no. How can I ever watch this show again, now that I've realized this? It's all wrong now. I can never go back to my innocence of the time before this realization.
