Oh my gosh.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0360486/

Gavin Rossdale.... my Gavin Rossdale, my girlhood rocker crush of choice, the man who got married to Gwen Stefani the year I finally turned legal age enough to pursue him.... he's going to be in a movie with Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz? And he's going to play ...Balthazar?

I can't decide if I'm going to be happy because his perfect cheekbones will be plastered before me on huge theater size screens... or to be frightened by the fact that playing a hellspawn demon baddie might mean they'll give him demonic make-up. Too much make up would the whole point of seeing him on the abovementioned huge theater size screens.

I've never read the books. I like Keanu Reeves, though. I always have. And I like Rachel Weis. So I'm looking forward to it.

Reeves is expected to play a down trodden working class English Magician. I am afraid I never much care for him at the best of time, but the thought of him doing a working class english accent...not good.
Honestly, the crazy suggestion that they cast James Masters, well that would have been better.

Rachel Weis is great though...

Well, admittedly, he doesn't look very British. I mean, he looks like a lot of things, but British has never been one of them in my mental image of him.

You're welcome. :)

Watching Perfect Blue was a very stiuational exprience for me... I don't think I would have sat through the first half hour (that was sooooo slow) if I hadn't been exhausted from running around a con and just wanting to park my butt in one of the theater-like show rooms. I'm glad I did, though, because it got very interesting by the end.
