Okay. I give in. I want to start making a music a video. [livejournal.com profile] saava, the day you never thought you'd see has come!

I've got the source material, I've got the song, I've sort of got a plan.

Of course, I don't at all have the time. But if I don't start now, with this, I'm never going to get the gumption to start one.

So, tell me... what's a good program that I can download from a website or Kazaa to make music videos?

For a beginner! Be gentle, it's my first time. ::batts eyes::

VirtualDub is what you use to make clips instead of importing whole eps in to your vidding program.

You can save your clips without sound, which makes things easier when vidding because you don't have to play with sound controls and everything. Also, you can use the filters to resize clips, deinterlace, and generally clean them up.

As for removing subtitles, there's a tutorial with a few ways here. I don't know if there's really any other way to remove subtitles from a video file.

thank you! I'll definitely get Virtual Dub... loading the whole file would be a killer. It takes almost a minute just to load a song on my song editor... and that's only 3 minutes long.
