Okay. I give in. I want to start making a music a video. [livejournal.com profile] saava, the day you never thought you'd see has come!

I've got the source material, I've got the song, I've sort of got a plan.

Of course, I don't at all have the time. But if I don't start now, with this, I'm never going to get the gumption to start one.

So, tell me... what's a good program that I can download from a website or Kazaa to make music videos?

For a beginner! Be gentle, it's my first time. ::batts eyes::

Experienced vidders will scoff but Windows Movie Maker is perfectly good for a beginning vidder. It's easy to use with some basic transitions to play with. I think it comes with any Windows version later than 2k.

I personally suggest Ulead Video Studio. It's got a slight learning curve but it's loads easier than Premiere.

It exports pretty good and it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

On the other hand, it can be unstable and there is crap worth of transitions. You have to manufacture your own fade outs, white flashes and cross-dissolves. Yucky.
