::hyperventilating::

Oh my gah. Oh my gah.

If Cartoon Network were to ever edit this for Toonami, I swear I'll kill myself. There's no possible way they can make this into a show for 9 year olds. It has to go to Adult Swim.

Oh my gah.

Kakashi!!! KAKAAAAAAASHIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

And the plot advancement! Hey-yeah!

I love how Jeraiya goes around having all these clandestine meetings with people. Ebisu... the village councelmembers...Kakashi. Like, "I'm so cool and powerful that I only meet with other cool guys of your village in mysterious settings and pass on shaded warnings, because I'm just too hip to call a town meeting of all the Jounins and pass on news like normal people do."

::cries for Kakashi's pain some more:: Three days!

Oh, the angst. I need to write bloody painful Kakashi angstfic now...

Thank god for Gai. Except, how the heck did Kurenai and Asuma get to be jounins if they're so useless in a fight? Okay, I'm being unfair. That tree thing was pretty cool, and so was Asuma's PsychoticHookKnife. And to be fair, they were out of their league with Itachi. As was... ::sniffle:: ...Kakashi.

Oh the pain the pain!

What if the anime is better than the manga? It has happened. Though you might be speaking of Naruto specifically, in which case I can bugger off.

Gundam Wing. Have you even seen the atrocity they tried to call "manga" for that show? I cry.

Hell, look at Trigun. The manga is fun, but the storytelling is MUCH tighter in the anime.

I at least love the art in the Trigun manga though. GW... ::cries:: Though to be fair, the GW manga that takes place before and after the series is very good--- done by a totally different artist/writer, of course.

I actually own volume 3 of Trigun in Japanese. Don't have the English yet. I go flipping through it, like "What's that?" "I dunno." "What's going on?" "Beats me-- but hey I think this guy is Wolfwood so I'm happy."

In this instance I am referring to Naruto, but in general I dare say 90% of most anime on Japanese TV started on the shelf of a manga shop. In some instances companies will even produce a manga version of a popular anime series (ie Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangeleon etc). Then you have OAV which are produced and released for Television, theatre and home video/dvd purchase.
