What kind of file ends with .ax ?

I downloaded Read or Die, and it came in .mkv files.

So I downloaded the software for playing .mkv files.

And that is made of of .ax files. Like MatroskaSplitter.ax.

What the hell do i need now? Damn, I just wanted to watch anime before I went to class this mornin... Why must it be so hard?

I've already downloaded the necessary software for .mkv files, but I can't paly it because it comes in .ax files, which my comp doesn't recognize.
