BtVS writer whose work I adore:

Fallowdoe. You can find the stuff here.

She/He writes wonderful Spike, wonderful Buffy, exceedingly fascinating and unique perspectives on B/S, and lots of deep, abiding angst.

For just a start, I recommend:

Spiegel Im Spiegel- translation "mirror in mirror"; Spike and Buffy wander a post-gift apocalyptic world, and though they're never togehter their stories mirror and intertwine. I ADORE this story, btw. It's so different, and the characterizations are wonderful, and the OCs are strongly written. Recently updated WIP.

Jump- a season 6 short fic. Buffy, a ledge, and Spike.

Axis- Post grave, Spike-comes-back-with-a-soul story. But by far one of the better ones. I was sad when it ended, because I wanted to keep reading it for a long long time. Complete.

Shadowland- an end-of-season-6 Spike short fic. Angsty encounter in a ship's cargohold on the way to Africa. Quiet and sad.

I just discovered Fallowdoe's work, and finished all of 'Spiegel Im Spiegel' that's been written. Her use of imagery is delicate and intense, and I'm really excited to find out where she's going with the story.

Also -- love your icon.

I know, I'm excited too. I'd love to see the Buffy/Spike meeting, but I also understand if she doesn't add that, or if its the very last moment and cuts off before we hear what they say/react. It would fit with the story style so far.

Also -- love your icon.

It's pretty cool, huh? I got it from [livejournal.com profile] buffy_icons community, just yesterday. I love that picture of Spike's chest & abs in blue wiht a black background. Evee though it was the most a heartbreaking moment in BY when we saw him start to unzip. ::gets teary-eyed:: It just makes me want to rant and cry, even now. But still, such a sexy pic!

I wish there was one of those in the supermarket.

oh me too. Then there could be holiday sales, and two-for-one deals, and everything would come in different flavors and colors... ;)

This is a tad off topic... But I just gotta say love the new one... "pull the sheet, Anya!"

I love all of yours. :( I wanna steal them.

Do you have a site or anywhere on LJ that you put them up for everyone to see after you stop using them? You should have a site or something. Too funny!

:)
I wish I made that one. I only announce the ones I make in my LJ (like the abomination one here).

The "sheet down" one I got from Don't Taunt The Fear Demon, a site for BtVS icons. The chick who does those is super cool, and has tons of icons, inclusing a whole nekkid!Spike section. Like in a supermarket. :D

If I ever get a website, I'll put all the ones I made up there. As is it, you can take the ones I have just from my journal.

You should do a site... I love the abomination one... I saw it the first time right after I'd seen Lilo and Stitch for the first time. So the whole similarities to Spike was fresh in my mind.

Thanks for the site too. Oh la la...what to do with so much eye candy. ;-)

I make some of my own icons... I have a whole section in fact, on my site...but none are all that cool to me. There's some I like okay, but yours are always so cool. :) Always want what you don't have. It's a rule... But thanks for offering the abomination one -- cause it's one of my absolute favorites. I think I'm going to start just switching them around a lot.
