Dec. 29th, 2003 06:26 pmCaught the second half of the pilot episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Was charmed. Carlton was so... UberCarlton. The little girl was so cute. Will Smith looked *exactly* like how he looks now... which is very strange and kind of meta. There was a nice touching converation at the end between Will and his uncle.

Dec. 29th, 2003 09:28 pmIn my Christmas stocking was a surprisingly heft bage of candied pistachios. I love pistochios, and generally like candied nuts. Because they're nuts, only with candy! Seems pretty good. Unfortunately, in this case the combination is a bit too overpowering. I think because pistochios have a very strong, definite flavor and the coating flavor they chose just interferes with the pistochio flavor, instead of complimenting it.
If I work it right with my tongue, I can get all the candy coating to fall off in flakes and leave the nice pistochio center ripe and waiting. Mmmmm.

Dec. 29th, 2003 10:17 pmJust watched a nicely timed, but rather mundane Cowboy Bebop vid to Aerosmith's Dream On (a favorite song of mine), and the footage was all from the CB movie, Knockin' on Heaven's Gate... or Door? Door. Anyway, I noticed during the train thing with Vincent when Spike gets shoved out a window... Spike is like James Bond, or something. He's a character in a video game where the kid stole the cheat codes and put the main character on "god mode," where you can get hurt but never actually die, and if you do die then you have infinite lives, and you recover from fatal injuries from scene to scene. Maybe Spike Spiegel's the world's first male Slayer, but never realized his true calling. It's the only explanation.
