I've been looking for screencaps for my FMA/Fight Club icon, and I'm perusing my episodes. Now I'm rewatching episode 25 for some pics.

Ah, this was SO good. Probably the best episode. Well, then again, there were a lot of good ones in season 2 as well. Thank god I never have to choose. T'would be impossible.

Damn. The last scene of this episode still gives me goosebumps.

There. I'm done. Figuring out the order of text versus pictures was hard for this one. And I'm still amazed that I could fit all these pics, and all this text, AND red flashes AND a fade-in title in and still get it under 40k the first try. Blessed Adobe ImageReader!

I'd like to do more pairing these two fandoms, cause I *love* Fight Club, but I need some suggestions for characters paired with dialogue or scenes.

But hot damn, I *do* love the dialogue with this trailer. Cause it was like The Mantra. The Mantra that kept the spirit of many of us alive though the bleakest of episodes-- mild mild spoilers for episode 13+ )

Well, it looks like [livejournal.com profile] 100bullets is actually having an unofficial week-long celibacy challenge.

My fandom will not only take a joke, we'll kidnap it, spank it a bit, and run away to elope with it.

The avatar is like a Rorschach inkblot, or the Draw-a-House/Person/Tree Test, or any work of art. It is selected from personal imagination. Consciously or unconsciously, people condense a multitude of meaning into it. They project their personality into it - who they are, who they wish to be, what they fear, what moves them.

Choose one of your icons, and post it up in your journal. Then ask people to comment with the first thing that comes to mind when they see that icon -- whether it's associated with the image, the text, or with the identity/mood they project on you when you're using it, whatever. Free association. See if anything fits.

Dear LJ,

Whichever person on my Flist put up "747" by Kent to be download, thank you. It is most awesomely pretty. Also, whoever put up "Ready to Go" by Republica has my thanks too. It's one of those songs you know the words to but you've forgotten cause it's been a while since you heard it and you never really knew the name or artist to begin with.

And to all people who do share their favorite songs time and again, thank you as well. LJ as a whole has expanded my musical horizons like you wouldn't believe.

Thank you,

Rashaka

Anyone wanna add any suggestions for characters/scenes to pair with quotes? I just posted a bunch here that sounded possible; dunno which ones I'll make. Also, suggestions of episodes where I could find screencaps to match the quotes would be greatly appreciated.

We're the middle children of history. (Ed & Al)

I am Jack's smirking revenge. (Greed? Edward? Roy?)

I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not. (Greed?)

I felt like destroying something beautiful.

You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. (military characters)

When you have insomnia, you're never really asleep... and you're never really awake. (Edward? or Izumi?)

On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero. (Envy killing someone or looking evil)

It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything. (Al and/or Ed or Roy)

Is that what a real man is supposed to look like? (someone staring at Armstrong posing)

We just had a near life experience.

Tyler Durden: Did you know that if you mix equal parts of gasoline and frozen orange juice concentrate you can make napalm?
Narrator: No, I did not know that; is that true?
Tyler Durden: That's right... One could make all kinds of explosives, using simple household items.
Narrator: Really... ?
Tyler Durden: If one were so inclined.
(something about alchemy)

You have a kind of sick desperation in your laugh.

Tyler Durden: Listen to me! You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you. He never wanted you. In all probability, he hates you. This is not the worst thing that can happen.
Narrator: It isn't?

If I did have a tumor, I'd name it Marla. (Edward talking about Mustang)

I am Jack's raging bile duct.

I am Jack's wasted life. (Honenheim)

I am Jack's inflamed sense of rejection. (Edward after Al leaves with H in episode 44)

Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing.

You met me at a very strange time in my life. (Roy/Riza)

What kind of dining set alchemy array defines me as a person?

You can swallow a pint of blood before you get sick.
