Do two mosquitos count as an infestation?

Because I flushed one down my shower drain 4 days ago, and I just found one dead while cleaning my shower tonight.

There's a mass swarm of moquitos living underneath our house! They could be carrying the West Nile Virus!

Some of you Southerners are probably snickering, but look at it from my point of view. I live in the middle of San Jose, in the temperate, dry Northern California, no where near standing water, and I normally see about 3 mosquitos a year actually around my house.

In the last week I've now seen two thirds of my annual count. It's an infestation!

spent nights sleeping with a sheet over my face to prevent the swarms of mosquitoes

I love California. I'm never leaving this place.

Did I mention the giant bees in Georgia that infested the dorm building next to mine this year and would get in my window and dive-bomb my lamp at night when I was trying to read in bed? Or hey! Scorpions! We got your scorpions in Texas! And fire ants! Lots and lots of fire ants!

On the other hand, we also have hornytoads, which are so cute, docile, and pettable they almost make up for everything else.

About a month ago, we had these huge black bumblebees, just over half the size of my thumb (and fat), caught in our house. 3 times in two weeks. I think it might have been the same bee #2 for the third time, but I can't be sure.

Technically the name of the animal is 'horned lizard', but any Texan worth his/her salt calls it a 'hornytoad'. :D Which gets us weird looks from non-Texans, yo.

(pssssst...can you tell me where I can find/download early "Naruto" manga? My friend [livejournal.com profile] beatgeek sent me volume 1, and I'd quite like to see more.)
